BJAI Makar Sankranti 2023

The Bihar Jharkhand Association of Ireland (BJAI) proudly organised its first-ever community-level Makar Sankranti celebration in Ireland on Sunday, 15 January 2023, at the Vedic Hindu Cultural Centre Ireland (VHCCI) Temple, Dublin.

The celebration brought together BJAI members, families, volunteers, and guests from different communities across Ireland to mark the auspicious festival of Makar Sankranti, a festival associated with gratitude, harvest, devotion, and new beginnings.

BJAI members contributed their time, effort, and financial support towards the preparation and distribution of Khichdi Prasad, which was lovingly served to around 400 guests from various communities. The event reflected the true spirit of seva, unity, and community participation.

The occasion was further enriched with the singing of bhajans, creating a peaceful and devotional atmosphere. Children also actively participated by reciting the Gayatri Mantra, adding a special spiritual and cultural touch to the celebration.

This first community-level Makar Sankranti celebration by BJAI in Ireland was a meaningful milestone, helping preserve Indian traditions while bringing people together in a spirit of devotion, service, and togetherness.
